Spiritual retreats, yoga and teachings with Swamiji in some of the
most sacred cities in North and Routh India: Rishikesh – Tiruvannamalai
(Sri Ramana Maharishi Ashram) – Pondicherry,
On this trip Swamiji offers you the opportunity to continue your personal
and spiritual development in some of the moet spiritual places in
India. Thid is not intented to be a tourist trip, but rather a pilgrimmage
designed for those who wish to experiment, first hand, the essence
of India.

VERY IMPORTANT:
The
organisation of a trip such as this, given that we are not a
travel agency, requires a group of at least 12-15 people and
the guarantee of their complete commitment before be able to
book hotels, tickets or flights.
We are therefore establishing a limit of APRIL 30th for reservations
(including a deposit of 300€). If by that date we have the minimum
required t have enough people to form a group, all deposits
will be returned immediately. |
PROGRAM
Day 1:
Meeting point in Barajas airport, Madrid and flight to New Delhi,
India.
Traditional reception with flower garlands and transfer to the Hotel
in Delhi. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel.
Day 2:
Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer by train in AC class to Rishikesh.
On reaching Rishikesh, transfer to the hotel.
The goup will stay a total of 8 nights in Rishikesh with full board.
The accommodation offers a hall and gardens for the activities with
Swamiji. The rest of the time will be spent exploring Rishikesh, known
as the World Capital of Yoga.

Rishikesh (Hindi: ??????), also spelt as Hrishikesh, Rushikesh or
Hrushikesh is a city in the Dehradun district of the state of Uttarakhand.
Surrounded by the districts of Tehri Garwhal and Pauri Garhwal, Rishikesh
is located at the foot of the Himalayas in the north of India and
attracts thousands of tourists and pilgrims every year, both from
India and other countries. A vegetarian city by law and also alcohol
free, Rishikesh is also known as “Teerth Nagri”, “Yog Nagri” or “Yoga
City”, which means the City of Temples, Yoga and Meditacion.
Rishikesh is considered the Gateway to the Himalayas andi s about
25kms north of Haridwar, oanother very sacred city.
Rishikesh has numerous yoga centres that attract visitors from all
round the world. It is believed that meditation in Rishikesh brings
one nearer to Moksha (freedom from this universe and the cycle of
birth and rebirth), as does bathing in the sacred river Ganges that
runs through the city.

Day
10:
Breakfast at the hotel.
Return to Delhi by train in order to take a flight to Chennai, in
southeast India.
On reaching Chennai the grouop will transfer to Tiruvannamalai (200kms)
where the emblematic Sri Ramana Maharishi Ashram is located. It is
not permitted to stay inside the Ashram so the group will stay 3 nights
in the nearby Indian Social Institute – recommended by the Ashram.
However, the goup is allowed to participate in the daily activities
of the Ashram during the stay. The time spent in Tiruvannamalai will
be divided between the activities at the Sri Ramana Maharishi Ashram
and visits to the most sacred places in the area.

The
town of Tiruvannamalai has more than 100 temples, including the Siva
– Pavarthi temple, possibly the biggest in India with a tower measuring
66m and 13 floors and a thousand pillar hall. Tiruvannamalai is one
of the most sacred places in the Tamil Nadu state with frecuent festivals,
in particular Karthigai, the festival of fire, which attracts enough
visitors to double the population.
